Bearded Iris in Bloom
Visual description
A tall bearded iris in full bloom. The upper petals are ruffled golden orange. The lower petals are deep burgundy red with an orange beard at the center. A hand holds the stem below the bloom. Green grass and garden foliage fill the background.
My mom grew these irises in Oklahoma. A while back she mailed me 28 bulbs. I planted them here in Maryland and they did well. Really well. I'm up to more than a hundred bulbs now. I put my fingers in the shot for scale so you can see just how big this bloom is. This one is one of my favorites out of all of them, along with the midnight purple one.
