Standing in as brakeman on this RSD-4, Locomotive 201, a first generation road switcher on static display at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, WA. Built in 1951, it's the last one remaining out of thirty eight experimental models the American Locomotive Company produced.
What a beautiful locomotive.
Updated (10/1/2024): Locomotive 201 spent over thirty years working for the Kennecott Copper Company before it was donated to the museum. It didn't fit that region's history though, so in November 2021 it moved to the Nevada Northern Railway Museum near the Nevada-Utah border, back to where Nevada Northern originally operated it for Kennecott.
