Love the color chart! I cannot paint enough of the color charts.

I've been experimenting with a limited palette. Just six colors this time: Scarlet Lake, Permanent Rose, French Ultramarine, Winsor Blue, Winsor Yellow, and Winsor Lemon.

The grid in the middle is the actual study, mixing each color against the others to see what comes out. The washes around it are just me letting the leftover paint on the brush and palette do something on the paper instead of going to waste.

It's a good exercise. Fewer colors means you have to actually understand how they mix instead of reaching for a tube that already does the job.
